It is represent the traditional dresses from South Asia which are India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka. Kashmir was a country originally but it was divided by three countries: India, Pakistan and China, yet it is still consider as disputed region.
According to traditional dresses of Kashmir, they wore different dresses without Bollywood touch which are:
- Kushor (often known as Kashmiri or sometimes Kasheer, they wore phiran shalwar, and chadar, found in Valley of Kashmir and Neelum District)
- Dogri (found in Jammu province, they are somewhat similar to Azad Kashmir's people due wore shalwar kameez but they have it own style and wore dupatta as normally. Paranda sometimes to be wore by females)
- Pothohari (they often being call Pahari, Mirpuri and Poonchi, they wore heavy kameez shalwar with chadar, paranda are quite famous over Azad Kashmir, they usually visible on shoulder hanging out infront or back of body, similar to Nothern Punjab known as Pothohari Region, mainly found in whole Azad Kashmir, included Poonch, Rajouri and Mirpur)
- Gujri (often known as gajjars, they are usually farmer, selling milks, they females wore shalwar kameez, chadar in different style, plus they also wore taqiyah with chadar found in different places of both sides of Kashmir)
- Gilgiti (sometimes they are called as Hunza, their cultures similar to Tajikistan or Nuristan)
- Ladakhi and Balti (they both share same ethnic and language family but different are Baltistan is in Pakistan while Ladakh lie on India side, they are known as Little Tibetans of Kashmir)
